Georgina Rodriguez earns around $17 million per year as a social media influencer, according to estimates. Still, Ronaldo’s girlfriend gets a hefty paycheck from Manchester United’s superstar to cover daily expenses and child care.
According to the Spanish TV show “Viva la Vida,” Ronaldo transfers close to $110K to Rodriguez’s account every month. This figure is nothing compared to what she makes from her contracts as an influencer and businesswoman. Rodriguez banks up to $1.5 million per month from her deals. She is followed by nearly 37 million people on Instagram alone.
If things seem to be going perfectly between her and Ronaldo, Rodriguez isn’t on good terms with some of the relatives she left behind in her hometown of Jara. She was criticized for not attending her grandmother’s funeral, with her uncle accusing her of having a bad attitude toward her family since she became famous.
“She may feel ashamed of us and consider she’s better than us because we don’t live in luxury,” her relative told The Sun in January.
“I’ve never asked her for anything. I was in charge of providing for Georgina and her sister, buying them clothes, paying for their electricity and water. I did everything. Georgina was living with me during her teenage years,” the man revealed.
In the Netflix docuseries “Soy Georgina,” Ronaldo claimed he was “1,000% sure that the wedding [with Georgina] will happen,” despite reports suggesting his mother Dolores is against it.
Rodriguez has one child with Ronaldo, a three-year-old daughter named Alana Martina. She will soon welcome twins. Ronaldo has three other kids from previous relationships.
Can Ronaldo end up playing in the MLS?
With his future looking uncertain football-wise, fans around the world are curious to see what the summer transfer market brings for the 37-year-old. Ronaldo and his representatives are open to discuss a move away from Old Trafford, as is Manchester United. The bookies have their odds ready too and believe the most probable destination right now is Sporting, the Portuguese club where Ronaldo started playing professionally.
Sporting is now at +350 to sign Ronaldo, with Paris Saint-Germain behind at +450 and Real Madrid at +800. Manchester City sits at +1200 to shock the world of football and snap up their arch-rivals’ star, while Bayern and Juventus are next at +1400. No MLS club has been attributed odds yet, even though sources close to Ronaldo say he is interested in experiencing US football before retirement.
Ronaldo himself said “What’s happening in the MLS is great, it’s fantastic, maybe in the future there will be a good chance for me to play there. You never know but it’s something interesting. I’ll consider it, of course.”
Ronaldo has scored 18 goals and assisted another three in the 33 games at Manchester United this season. He averages 128 minutes per goal contribution.
